Sherry was adorable. In spite of her short time learning watercolor on her own, she was phenomenal! My 70-year-old friend a my 75-year-old self, with years of watercolor experience between us, both learned from this gifted teacher! And the intimate setting by Johnson Lake with only four of us plus Sherry was so nice. Thanks be to God for the cooler morning weather. It was lovely!

Your group my a comment about her painting. I just wanted to say that you should really see how she does it from beginning to end. She is amazing to see how she creates it. She has an amazing mind. She has created so many beautiful pieces of artwork. Not just paintings. But, the way she starts her paintings from the beginning is incredible amazing to see. I?m creative, but to see her do her paintings. I?ve never a mind.

They said you can?t put contemporary art in an antique frame?like it would somehow offend the ghosts of chandeliers past. So Gilded Rebellion was born out of pure artistic spite. One bold tiger, dripping in modern color, strutted straight into a baroque frame like it owned the place and ordered a cocktail. The frame tried to act all dignified about it, but deep down even it knew? rules are just suggestions with better marketing.

I recently painted a simpler version for a friend's baby shower gift and showed a photo of it to my daughter, who said... "Oh, I would love this!" She is my biggest supporter as I transition to retirement and dive into a newly found passion for watercolor. So, of course, I had to create a new painting, expanding on the first one, made just for her. She loved it and said it looks like a fairy flower garden, which it its!

This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
